Saiya awoke to an annoying beeping noise, beep... beep... beep... It took her a moment to realize that the noise was coming from one of those machines that was used to monitor pulse rate. Her vision was blurry, her contacts had been removed. But from what she could see, the room was bleak and white, very white. There was a fuzzy outline of something upon the table by her bed. Saiya reached over and felt the frames of her glasses. Her parents must've been by... She put them on and the room came into sharper focus.
Saiya attempted to sit up, but a searing pain pulsed through her body, and so she laid back down, staring at the ceiling. She strained her groggy brain to try and remember what had happened... For the time being, her memory was blank. She could remember most of the details about her life, but not anything about what had happened, nor how she got there. After a few minutes it came to her. The crash. Saiya groaned feebly, then recognized the kind of room she was in. An Intensive Care Unit, which was why it was so quiet, other than the beeping noise of the heart monitor.
The door creaked open and in walked a tall, thin, blonde woman. She was wearing a bright red dress, it was only down to her mid-calves. She wore ridiculously high heels, they clicked loudly on the floor. The woman wore over-sized sunglasses and a lightweight scarf over her head. Saiya couldn't believe it, the woman was her older sister. Yes, it was her, there was no mistaking that acid green, crocodile skin handbag. The woman sat down in the chair beside her bed, grinning. "Candice?" Saiya said, voice barely above a whisper.
"Bonjour, Chrisina" said Candice, in her fake French accent, which Saiya hated, her sister was British, not French. "I 'erd about zur acciden', I took ze earliest fligh' to ze Los Angeles Airport." Saiya nodded, which sent up a pain through her neck, so she stopped rather quickly. "I cannot ztay long, but I 'anted to geev zu a gift. Zu might be needing zis when zu can drive again." said Candice, then put something on Saiya's bedside table and left quickly. They were a set of car keys. The door opened again, from her position, Saiya was barely able to see...
